A student-produced
and student-managed newspaper, The Ridge
utilizes the talents of the Sage Ridge Upper School
to inform the community of the events of both Sage
Ridge and Northern Nevada. Operating according to
the highest standards of creative integrity, The Ridge
provides a superior journalistic experience for
upper school students. As members of Quill and
Scroll, the journalism honor society, and as
frequent participants in Columbia School of
Journalism’s summer program and the University of
Nevada’s journalism workshops, the staff of The Ridge
has received both regional and national recognition.
Two literary arts
magazines, produced annually, feature fiction,
non-fiction, poetry, and art from the Middle School
and Upper School students. Students learn to
select, edit, and layout to produce an aesthetically
pleasing representation of the talent at Sage Ridge
School. Students are encouraged in their art and
core classes to consider the literary arts magazine
as a venue to receive recognition for the work they
have done.
Yearbook
The SRS Yearbook is
produced annually and is fully student run and
produced with help from a faculty advisor. Each year
the yearbook staff is taught how to lay out, edit,
select photos, and write articles that will make for
an excellent yearbook.
