PSAT results are mailed to parents and reviewed with students in the third week of January (the first week of regular classes after Mini-Semesters). SAT Reasoning Test
Students should plan to take the SAT in the spring of Junior year and again as early as possible in the fall of Senior year, if desired. It is important to register as early as possible to ensure students’ preferred test site is available. Seniors testing in the fall should verify that scores from their preferred test date will arrive to colleges in time for consideration with their application for admission by the application deadline they have chosen to apply by. Students can view this year’s SAT test dates, register, and request score reports here .
ACT
Students should plan to take the ACT in the spring of Junior year and can opt to repeat the test in the fall of Senior year. It is important to note that the ACT (curriculum-based) and SAT (reasoning based ) measure different things. As such, a student who does not score well on the SAT may have different results on the ACT. Learn more about the ACT, view ACT test dates, register, and request ACT score reports here.
SAT Subject Tests
SAT Subject Tests are offered in 20 subjects and allow students to demonstrate competency in that subject. Students who take SAT Subject tests should do so late in Junior year, early in Senior year, or in some cases, as soon as possible after completing the course in that subject. Before registering for SAT Subject Tests, students should verify if specific Subject Tests are required (or if the SAT Subject tests are required at all) as a component of their applications for admission. Learn more about the SAT Subject Tests here.
Advanced Placement Testing
All students enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) course at Sage Ridge School sit for the respective exam. AP Testing takes place during the first two weeks of May. Students’ families will be invoiced for exam fees. The AP exam schedule can be viewed here. Many colleges and universities award academic credit to students who enroll at their institution based on the outcomes of their AP Exams. Students should investigate this possibility as they research schools in their college search.
