Scorpion Families, Sage Ridge Productions will hold auditions and callbacks for the spring musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, on Monday, December 2nd - Thursday, December 5th.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 2nd - (ACTING/SINGING AUDITIONS in the Learning Cottage #301) - Students are asked to prepare 32 bars (Approximately 1 minute) of a song from a musical (NOT from The Sound of Music). Additionally, there is a selection of monologues for students to memorize and present at their audition. Please see the audition packet and choose the monologue that is best for you. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd - (DANCE AUDITIONS on the Crossbow Stage) - Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the dance audition. Those auditioning will learn choreography from The Lonely Goatherder. Please familiarize yourself with the song, the link is attached in the Audition Packet.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4th - (DANCE CALLBACKS on the Crossbow Stage) - This is a great opportunity to polish up the choreography from The Lonely Goatherder and demonstrate how much you practiced overnight. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5th - (SONG & DANCE CALLBACKS in the Learning Cottage #301) - Students on the callback list are asked to learn a song for the character(s) they are called back for. There will also be scenes for presentation.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6th - (FINAL CAST LIST on the Theatre Callboard in front of #217).
