Like almost every other aspect of life this past year, our 2021 Gala will be different. My hope is that in having it online, we will be able to connect with more of our community than ever before as we are not bound by geography. I encourage our wider community to connect with us this Saturday as we celebrate our seniors and hear from members of our community.
It will be a short, fun program as we come together to celebrate what Sage Ridge does for our students. Yes, this is a fundraiser, and it's an incredibly important one for our school as the funds we raise extend our programs, expand our ability to offer professional development for our teachers, and improve our classrooms and campus in ways that extend the capacity of our annual budget. We have used funds in the past to purchase amazing adjustable student desks, create outdoor spaces, and improve innovation resources. Our partnership with Challenge Success and some teacher-requested professional development have been aided by the donations made during the Gala.
It is also a great time to connect and catch up to see what Sage Ridge is doing. We will celebrate our seniors during this event in one of our first allowed in-person gatherings this year as we have them in the Great Space with us (we already have had generous sponsorship to provide them a Western meal). We are fortunate to be able to make the most of this year as other schools have not been able to.
