2022 Gala: An Evening On Bourbon Street

2022 Gala: An Evening On Bourbon Street
Dustin Howard

It’s that time of year again! This year’s Annual Gala will take place on 5 March 2022 and the theme will be “An Evening on Bourbon Street: A Sage Ridge Mardi Gras Celebration” at the Paradise Ballroom at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa. As you know, the proceeds raised from this event support programs that enhance campus life and academics for our students — including unique educational opportunities like our week-long Outdoor Education program every fall, or our special two-week Sage Session in the spring. The Annual Gala helps raise money for these wonderful educational experiences and so much more.

This year, the Gala will feature live music, plenty of dancing, dinner, signature Mardi Gras cocktails, a live and silent auction, and lots of fun and spectacle throughout the night. Tickets for this year’s Gala go on sale Friday, 21 January until 18 February. Individual tickets are $125 per person, or you can purchase an entire table for you and your friends. Like in years past, premium tier tables will also be available. Details of those tables will be announced later next week, so watch your emails and Sage Ridge social media channels for more information! The silent auction will also open on 18 February with previews for auction items on our social media channels. There is even going to be a very special auction item available where you can win an exciting and memorable role in this year’s Gala… so stay tuned!

With the ever-present specter of COVID-19 looming large in recent weeks, there have been some questions about what to expect in the case of a surge in positive cases. The Gala Planning Committee and the Atlantis will monitor the situation as it develops; however, in the event that we cannot gather in person on 5 March, the Gala will be postponed to a later date this spring and will not be held in a digital format. The Gala is our community’s biggest event of the year and we know that many of you look forward to all the fun and camaraderie that comes with being together in person and we will do what we can to be safe and protect one another. We will observe all state-mandated requirements for COVID-19 when gathering at the Gala. More detailed information about masking, testing, and vaccination status related to COVID-19 will be released closer to the date so you know what to expect upon arrival.

The Gala Planning Committee has been hard at work organizing all of the details and plotting some fun surprises for all of you. I know I speak for everyone on the committee when I say that we are beyond thrilled to present this year’s Mardi Gras themed Gala. On a personal note, as both this year’s Gala Co-Chair and a newcomer who has been warmly embraced by the Sage Ridge community, I am deeply grateful to every one of you that has or will make plans to attend this evening in support of our school and our kids. So please begin connecting with your friends, planning your masks and outfits, and get ready for a night you’re not soon to forget. I can’t wait to see you all there!

Another piece of exciting news before I sign off is that as of 31 December 2021, we have raised $100,000 for the Annual Fund! Thank to you everyone who gave to the Annual Fund and the school before the end of the year. We appreciate all your support and dedication to Sage Ridge School.
