Sage Ridge Student Beatrice Liwanag ‘26 Second Runner Up for Miss Nevada Junior Teen; Alumna Amelie Harvey ‘21 Crowned Miss Nevada

Congratulations to Sage Ridge Scorpion Beatrice Liwanag ‘26 and alumna Amelie Harvey ‘21 on representing Nevada in the National American Miss (NAM) Pageant in Scottsdale, Arizona on July 11-13, 2024! 

NAM named Liwanag 2nd Runner Up for Miss Nevada Junior Teen. The pageant was Liwanag’s first, and for the talent portion, she played “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls on piano with vocals. 

Liwanag wowed the judges and walked away with a long list of awards and accolades that led to her Miss Nevada Junior Teen 2nd Runner-Up win: 

• Heart of Service -1st Place

• Miss Spirit - 1st Place

• Fun Fitness - 1st Place

• Photogenic Contest - 1st Runner Up 

• Academic Achievement - 1st Runner Up 

• Runway Contest - 2nd Runner Up 

• Casual Wear Contest - 3rd Runner Up 

Sage Ridge alumna Amelie Harvey ‘21 was named NAM Miss Nevada 2024–earning the state title for a second time. Harvey earned the Miss Nevada title in 2022. 

Harvey—a NAM pageant contestant since the age of six—secured the National American Miss - Miss Nevada 2024 title as well as the following first-place awards: 

• Miss Personality - 1st Place

• Top Model - 1st Place

• Casual Wear Model - 1st Place

• Runway - 1st Place

• Fun Fitness - 1st Place

• Spokesmodel - 1st Place

• Best Resume - 1st Place

• Dream Model - 1st Place

• Actress - 1st Runner Up 

• Photogenic - 1st Runner Up 

• Talent - 1st Runner Up 

Liwanag and Harvey will compete at the National American Miss 2024 Nationals in Orlando on Nov. 22-Dec. 1. The Sage Ridge community wishes both Scorpions the best as they take their talents to the national level this fall! 

Information about the NAM pageant
The National American Miss pageant is for girls and young women ages 4-24. It is “carefully designed to grow your confidence, teach you life-long skills such as interviewing, public speaking and presenting yourself in front of an audience all while gaining the competitive edge to succeed in whatever fields you may choose in your future.
