2025 Middle School Track & Field Championship: Danika McDaniel '29 1st Place in Shot Put

The Sage Ridge Middle School Track and Field team wrapped up an exciting season with a standout performance at the 2025 Championships. With 22 student-athletes qualifying for the event, the Scorpions proved that their grit and hard work throughout the season paid off.
CHAMPIONS IN THE FIELD
Danika McDaniel ‘29 emerged as a force in the field events, capturing 1st place in Shot Put and 2nd place in Discus.
SPEED AND STRENGTH ON THE TRACK
- Giuliana Hovenic ‘29 delivered two strong silver-medal finishes in the sprints, earning 2nd place in both the 100M and 200M dash events.
- Caspian McCarthy ‘30 captured 4th place in the 200M Hurdles and 5th place in the 80M Hurdles.
- Eli Wagner ‘30 placed 5th in the 100M and 6th in the 200M, while also contributing to a strong relay finish.
- The Scorpions’ 7th-grade relay team—Fletcher Hardie, Caspian McCarthy, Julian Sloyan, and Eli Wagner—brought home a 4th-place finish in the 4x100 Relay, showing excellent coordination amongst the classmates.
With a large number of athletes qualifying for Championships and several top-six finishes across a variety of events, the future looks bright for Sage Ridge athletics! Congratulations to all of our scholar-athletes!
