Your Sage Ridge Scorpions are on the move to the 2025 State Championships after delivering powerhouse performances at Regionals for both Varsity Swim and Varsity Track & Field last week. From explosive sprints to flawless strokes in the pool, our student-athletes showcased incredible talent, determination and Scorpion spirit. All of the Scorpions mentioned are headed to State this weekend!
VARSITY SWIM REGIONALS
The Sage Ridge School Varsity Swim team made serious waves at Regionals, with swimmers taking home multiple first place finishes. The following Scorpions will compete in the 2025 Varsity Swim State Championships at Moana Pool this Saturday, May 17.
First Place:
- Zach Power '25 in the 100 Butterfly
- Zach Power '25 in the 500 Freestyle
- Jensen Wu '27 in the 200 Individual Medley
- Jensen Wu '27 in the 100 Breaststroke
With a combination of speed, endurance and flawless technique, our swimmers continue to prove they're ready for State. Zach Power '25 is heading to Southern Methodist University this fall for college and to swim on their Division I Men's Swim Team.
VARSITY TRACK & FIELD REGIONALS
The Sage Ridge School Varsity Track & Field team brought the sting, racking up first-place and podium finishes in serveral events at Regionals. The following Scorpions will compete in the 2025 Varsity Track & Field State Championships in Las Vegas on Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17.
First Place:
- Caleb Mulvaney '25 in the High Jump
- Andrew Zhang '26 in the 100m
- Beatrice Liwanag '26 in the 1600m
Second Place:
- Caleb Mulvaney '25, Aiden Charles '26, Michael Skaria '25, Andrew Zhang '26 in the 4x100 Relay
- Caleb Mulvaney '25 in the Long Jump
- Beatrice Liwanag '26 in the 800m
- Andrew Zhang '26 in the 200m
Third Place:
- Caleb Mulvaney '25 in the Triple Jump
Fourth Place:
- Lauren Sherven '26 in the 1600m
- Viola Charles '28 in the Discus
Fifth Place:
- Sophie Najjar '26 in the 100m
- Lauren Sherven '26 in the 800m
- Viola Charles '28 in the 400m
