Daniel Dicante's ('28) Weekend of Baseball and Raising Awareness for Mental Health

Daniel Dicante's ('28) Weekend of Baseball and Raising Awareness for Mental Health
Sage Ridge School

Grade 7 student Daniel Dicante went to Las Vegas a few weekends ago to participate in a baseball tournament. While there he also supported an event focusing on mental health awareness:

"I participated in a few events this past weekend in Las Vegas. The first event was in support of Mental health awareness and suicide prevention. This is important for me because many teens are going through depression and having terrible thoughts about suicide and this run helped save lives and helped spread the word to help.

After the run I played in a baseball tournament. It was a long weekend of baseball. There were teams that came from Colorado, California, and Nevada. At the end of it my team was a finalist in the tournament and we placed 2nd. It was a tough game. The other team showed great respect and sportsmanship to us as they wanted to take a team picture with our rings. Both teams demonstrated courage, respect, integrity, and community, which reminded me of the pillars of Sage Ridge."

We love hearing about the amazing things our students are doing outside of the Sage Ridge community and still connecting it to Sage Ridge and particularly our pillars. Congratulations to Daniel on what sounds like a fantastic and rewarding weekend!
