Congratulations to Sage Ridge alumna Zoe Dixon '24 on placing 2nd in the environmental reporting category at the 2024 Nevada Press Foundation Awards of Excellence! 

Dixon's winning article was published in the Reno News & Review. Covering "one of the most closely monitored bodies of water in the world," Zoe's article dives into the impact of invasive species, global climate change, tourism, and microplastics on the 2.3 million-year-old Lake Tahoe. Dixon details positive developments for the ecosystem of the world's third-oldest lake including advances in research technology and public education programming.
