Sage Ridge Named To 2024 AP School Honor Roll Earning Platinum Distinction and AP Access Award
Sage Ridge School

The College Board named Sage Ridge School to the 2024 Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll! Sage Ridge earned platinum—the top level of distinction—for the second year in a row and an AP Access Award. The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students and broadening access.

Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness. The AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The AP Access Award, honors schools that “demonstrate a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework.”

Sage Ridge School is listed on the 2024 AP School Honor Roll as a Platinum, based on The College Board’s criteria of achievement for students in our most recent graduating cohort: 100% took at least one AP Exam during Upper School, 100% scored a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, and 67% took five or more AP Exams during Upper School.

The following AP courses are offered for the 2024-2025 school year: AP 2-D Art and Design; AP 3-D Art and Design; AP Biology; AP Calculus AB; AP Calculus BC; AP Chemistry; AP Computer Science Principles; AP English Language and Composition; AP English Literature and Composition; AP Environmental Science; AP Human Geography; AP Latin; AP Physics 1; AP Precalculus; AP Spanish Language and Culture; AP Statistics; AP United States History; AP World History: Modern

"AP gives students the opportunity to engage with college-level work, to earn college credit and placement, and to potentially boost their grade point averages,” said Trevor Packer, head of the AP program. “The schools that have earned this distinction are proof that it is possible to expand access to these college-level courses and still drive strong performance – they represent the best of AP.”

College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) enables students to pursue college-level studies—with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both—while still in high school. Through AP courses in 38 subjects, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond. Taking AP courses demonstrates to college admissions officers that students have sought the most challenging curriculum available to them, and research indicates that students who score a 3 or higher on an AP Exam typically experience greater academic success in college and are more likely to earn a college degree than non-AP students.
