Selection for the NV Thespians State Mainstage Showcase in Las Vegas is a big honor for “The Curious Incident” and is not the first time Sage Ridge School has received an invitation to perform on the mainstage. Five Sage Ridge School shows have earned a mainstage spot in our 25-year history, including two shows since Miss Keely Cobb joined Sage Ridge as the Director of Theatre in 2020. Miss Cobb’s “12 Angry Jurors” was selected in 2021. Previous Sage Ridge School selections are “Lend Me A Tenor,” “Almost Maine,” and “The Miracle Worker."

This year at regionals, Scorpion Rhea Skaria ‘25 placed in the top 10% in Nevada for stage management and is invited to present at State in March. Skaria is also invited to showcase her portfolio and presentation at the 2024 International Thespian Festival (ITF) at Indiana University. Scorpions Sam Browder ‘26 (Monologue) and Owen Heaphy ‘27 (Duet) received Excellent scores for their work in regionals.

Scorpions Ben Browder ‘24 (Stage Management) and Scarlett Lopiccolo ‘25 (Musical Theatre Solo) attended ITF last year after receiving perfect regional scores. ITF is an opportunity for students interested in pursuing theatre in college to present, perform, attend workshops, and connect with representatives from universities who attend the event to scout future talent.

Congratulations, Sage Ridge Theatre! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see “Shrek the Musical!” on the Sage Ridge Stage the last two weekends of April!
