End of year was busy as Sage Ridge Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams traveled to California. First off the boys trekked to the Bay Area to play Lynbrook in San Jose and Pacific Grove near Monterey – two highly respected programs that featured seasoned and senior-heavy teams. Both boys and girls teams then traveled to San Diego to compete in the 2021 Tri-City Christian Holiday tournament in Carlsbad, CA. The boys played hard and took on host team Pacific Ridge and last year’s 2021 Southern Cal CIF 4A runner up Pilibos who ultimately was the tournament champ. The girls finished the tournament 3-1 taking second place to Crean Lutheran and with freshman Sophia Soran making the All Tournament team! After a robust non-conference schedule in December, both teams are ready to build on this experience and take on league and remaining non-conference games in the coming weeks. GO SCORPIONS!
