Senior Spotlight: Noah Grady
Dr. Tara McGann

The first thing you notice about Noah Grady is his energy. During breaks and lunchtime, he can always be found playing spikeball with his friends. When Noah came to Sage Ridge School in 7th grade, he was immediately drawn to our outdoor activities, including Outdoor Education trips. Noah loves hiking, camping, and mountain biking, and Outdoor Education trips and playing on school teams have given him the opportunity to bond with his friends. In high school, Noah has been an avid member of our soccer, ski, and track teams for all four years, attesting to his athleticism and team spirit.

That enthusiastic spirit extends to many other areas, for Noah is a conscientious student-athlete, who learned the time-management needed to keep up with the academic demands of his rigorous coursework. He particularly loves STEM courses and especially enjoyed taking both Honors Biology and Human Anatomy and Physiology with Dr. Roth, who comments that he has had the pleasure of assisting Noah’s growth through working with him in classes, advisory, outdoor education, and leadership training. These experiences built not only academic skills but also essential life skills of patience, respect, and communication, which will provide “a solid foundation for him to succeed as a scholar.”

Having discovered an interest in engineering and architecture, he is shadowing a structural engineer for his senior internship, applying lessons from mathematics and physics as he learns how to assess the stress placed upon every aspect of a building.

Involved in many aspects of our school community, Noah has also served on the Honor Council and on our student advisory panel, the Prefecture, in the process gaining confidence and building his problem-solving and leadership skills. A well-rounded person, Noah is also an accomplished pianist and is actively involved in his church.

Noah credits Sage Ridge with teaching him self-discipline and appreciates the role the small size of the school and the invested teachers have played in his success. He feels thoroughly prepared for his next adventure, when he matriculates this fall to California Baptist University.
