Sage Ridge senior Sophia Soran ‘25 has etched her name in Scorpion history by surpassing 1,000 career points for the Varsity Girls Basketball team. A standout athlete and dedicated competitor, Soran continues to showcase her prowess and leadership on the court as the Scorpions prepare for playoffs.
A "force" as ABC KOLO 8 described Sophia when naming her to the Girls Player of the Year list last season, Soran is known for her relentless work ethic. Her ability to drive to the hoop, sink clutch shots, and inspire her teammates has made her an invaluable asset to the Scorpions. For the 2023-2024 basketball season, Soran was a Nevada stat leader earning the first-place spot in the state for points per game, rebounds per game and steals per game. She also ranked seventh in the state for assists per game, ninth for blocks per game, and 17th for free throws made in the 2023-2024 season.
