Sports Update November 21, 2019

Greetings Scorpions Sports Fans!!

Congratulations to our Fall Upper School Sports Teams and Athletes for such a successful and fun Fall season!  Congratulations also to our award winners at the 2019 Fall Athletics Banquet!  Thank you to all the athletes and families for attending and making the banquet such a special event!

HUGE SHOUT-OUT to our 3rd and 4th grade girls who ran the Girls on the Run 5K this past Sunday!!  They all completed the 5K run!!  We are so proud of you!  Thank you so much to Michelle Sherven, Amy Sarkissian, Tanya Phares, Ellen Messinger-Patton, Whitney Hovenic, Steph Collins, and Stephany Apollon for leading, mentoring, and inspiring our incredible group of girls! 

The MS Boys Basketball Teams had two games this past week!  Both the 7th grade and the 8th grade teams easily handled Tahoe Expedition at Home!  The 7th grade team gave Excel Christian a little payback from our earlier game with the Crusaders by throwing down a 47-21 win on Excel's home court this past Wednesday!  Our 8th grade team gave the undefeated 8th grade Excel team the closest game they have had all season!  Led by the 3 point scoring prowess of Mason Clemetson (six 3 pointers, 21 total points overall), the Scorpion Squad fell short with a final score of 59-41!  Great games Scorpion Ballers!

Upper School Boys and Girls Basketball has begun!  Please check out the game schedule on the Sage Ridge website/athletics!  Upper School Ski Team will start dry-land training after the Thanksgiving Break!  Mark you calendars MS 5th-8th grade girls!  Volleyball tryouts will be December 16th, 3:30pm-5:00pm!!
