Sports Update October 31, 2019

Greeting Scorpions Sports Fans!

What an exciting week of Sage Ridge Athletics!  Let's begin with our final US Girls and Boys Soccer Games!  Our final soccer games of the season were dedicated to our Senior Soccer Players: Sophie Bell, Siena "The Wall" Hall, Jessenia Lopez Garcia, Elena Albregts, and Julian Vlad!  The girls played a great game against the very tough Lady Warriors!  The boys followed up with a Scorpion victory over Whittell ending with a walk-off goal by Senior "King" Julian Vlad!

Congratulations to our US Girls Volleyball Team for qualifying for the 2019 NIAA West-Central Regional Championships!  The Lady Scorpions won 6 games straight against Pyramid Lake to secure their spot in the Regional Tournament!

The MS Boys Basketball Teams took on league rivals Incline MS this past Friday at our home gym, Evelyn Mount Community Center!  Zak Stanko lit it UP the 3rd quarter to secure a solid lead over Incline.  The 7th grade team went on to finish off the game...and Incline MS...and add another "W" to their record!  The 8th grade team played a tough game against Incline, but just fell short at the final buzzer.  Good Luck to both our teams today as they take on Excel at home!
