Swim Takes on Regionals and State
Sage Ridge Athletics

It was a great Regional Championship meet, especially for the Sage Ridge Scorpions.

Freshman Addison Clark ('25) is the youngest State qualifier in the 500 Yard Freestyle event in class 3A girls. Addison raced to yet another personal best time, finishing 3rd in Regionals to punch her ticket for State Championships in Las Vegas this Saturday.

Teammate Zach Power ('25) was Regional Champion and State Qualifier in two events: 200 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Butterfly. Zach began with a solid victory in the 200 Free, then proceeded with the fiercely contested 100 Fly. Zach's time for 100 Fly (50.14) is a new Sage Ridge School record.

Team captain Alex Power ('22) got his hand to the wall first to become Regional Champion in his specialties: 200 Yard Individual Medley and 100 Yard Breaststroke. A decisive win and personal best time in the 200 IM was followed with a win and a new school record in the 100 Breast (58.04). Alex's outstanding performance in his final regional competition is a testament to his dedication, work ethic, and willingness to endure.

Good luck to our Scorpion swim team in Las Vegas this Saturday!
