Congratulations Caleb Briggs, Griffin Lovato, and Nathaniel Mulvaney on their recent National Merit Program recognition!

Based on their top PSAT/NMSQT scores from last October, Griffin has been nominated as one of Nevada's 112 Semifinalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Competition and both Caleb and Nate are named among Nevada's 100 Commended Scholars (see National Merit Semifinalist and Commended Cutoffs for related score information).

Griffin's score has placed him the in highest tier (upper 99%) of all participants nationally, so he is now eligible to apply for finalist status and multiple college scholarship award opportunities. Details about the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program can be found in this official guide (see pages 24 and 25 for an outline of key steps) and a full press release is available here.

Requirements and Instructions for Semifinalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program include a lengthy college-like application, due October 7, 2020. Griffin's name also appeared in a list of the semifinalists in the Reno Gazette Journal last month as well. Congratulations, again, to all three seniors and we wish Griffin continued success in this scholarship competition!
