The Sage Ridge Varsity Track & Field Team had a very successful Regional Championship Meet. Some of the highlights include:
Chloe Huyler ('25) earned 1st place in both the 1600 Meter Run and the 3200 Meter run. Not only was she able to qualify for this weekend’s upcoming State Championship, but broke a Sage Ridge School record with a personal record time of 5:32.15.
Fellow freshmen, Jeremy Gupta ('25) and Celeb Mulvaney ('25), qualified for the State Championship in the Long Jump. Caleb also qualified for the State Championship in the High Jump, after clearing a height of 5 feet 7 inches, which is simultaneously a personal record and new Sage Ridge School record.
Additionally, Libby Mulvaney ('23) broke the school record for High Jump, clearing a height of 5 feet 6 inches. This height earned her 1st place and a spot in the State Championship. She also qualified in the 200 meter Dash with a time of 28.86, a personal best.
To round out Regionals, Carter Burns ('23) qualified for the State Championship in both Discus and Shotput, placing 3rd (112 feet, 4 inches) and 5th (36 feet) in Regionals, respectively.
