The Varsity Girls Golf Team wrapped up a great season this fall, with freshman Morgan Hayes (’26) representing the Scorpions at regionals and then earning 11th place overall at the state championship.
Varsity team members Zoe Dixon (’24), Ibby Rodriguez (’25), Alina Chu (’25) and Ruby Liu (’25) made great progress on their games over the fall season. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, only Morgan was able to compete in the regional tournament at Empire Ranch, where she qualified to compete for the state title
Morgan Hayes traveled to Elko at the Ruby View Golf Club for the Class 1A and 2A Girls Golf State Championship. She shot a personal best round of 92 on day one. Her performance earned her a coveted spot in the high-pressure, first foursome on the second day of competition. She finished the tournament with a two-round total score of 195, earning 11th overall in state competitive play against a strong field of athletes.
