Announcing the Spring Musical: “A Night on Broadway”
This April, Sage Ridge thespians will take the stage in a musical revue of our favorite Broadway numbers! From the classics to today, you won’t want to miss “A Night on Broadway”!
Auditions for “A Night on Broadway” are open to all Sage Ridge students and will be held in Room 217 on Thursday, January 22 from 3:30pm-5:30pm. For auditions, students are asked to prepare 16-32 bars of a song from a Broadway musical and a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. Callbacks will be held in Room 217 on Friday, January 23 from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Rehearsals will begin on January 27 and will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school.
Have a song or dance number in mind that you’d love to see performed? Submit it to Mrs. Purvance, and it might just make it into the revue!
To audition, students are asked to fill out an Audition Form and sign up for an audition time.
Submission Guidelines:
- Songs must be from a published Broadway musical
- Songs must be appropriate for a school performance
- Songs can be solo numbers or ensemble numbers
- Submissions must be emailed to Mrs. Purvance at apurvance@sageridge.org with the subject line “An Evening on Broadway Song Submission”
- Limit of 3 submissions per student
- Songs must be submitted by Monday, December 1st
