Calling all Sage Ridge Families! Getting new rechargeable technology for the holidays? Wondering what to do with your old rechargeable lithium ion batteries? Join Sage Ridge School and Grade 4 for a battery recycling drive on January 9th, 2026!
Grade 4 will be learning about circular supply chains and sustainable technology as they start 2nd semester. We are collaborating with Redwood Materials, who believes that the largest lithium and cobalt mines in the western hemisphere can be found in the junk drawers of America, and we’re on a mission to collect as many of these old products as possible to sustainably recycle, refine, and remanufacture these batteries here in America.
Recyclable items include: loose lithium ion or nickel metal hydride batteries, rechargeable tools, electric toothbrushes, smart watches, wireless headphones, bluetooth speakers, tablets, and cell phones. You, or your student, can drop items off at Sage Ridge School during morning drop off/afternoon pickup on January 9th.
