Nets

Each summer brings important upgrades across our hillside campus, and this year’s projects focused on improving student spaces, strengthening safety and supporting the daily work of our faculty and staff. Some updates were highly visible while others happened quietly behind the scenes, but together they reflect our ongoing commitment to maintaining a well-kept, welcoming and functional learning environment.

Watch the video here.

Outdoor and Athletics Enhancements

Mower

Several improvements were made to outdoor areas to support play, athletics and student life.

  • Soccer nets — New nets were added behind the goals to prevent balls from going down the hill, reducing equipment loss and improving community safety.

  • Volleyball area — A volleyball net was added to the middle and upper play area to expand recreational options for students.

  • Automated lawn mowers — Automated mowers were introduced to improve field maintenance and keep outdoor spaces consistently ready for student use.

  • General field care — The field was refreshed to provide a high-quality playing surface for practices and games.

  • Outdoor basketball court — The outdoor basketball court was resurfaced to improve play quality and ensure a safer, more durable surface for students.

Gaga Pit

These upgrades ensure students have reliable, safe, and high-quality spaces for play, training, and competition.

Playground Additions

The elementary playground has received new features to give younger students more options for active outdoor play. The new sand pit and swings create a more engaging and enjoyable space for recess and movement. Additional gaga ball pits have also been added to support active play and give students more choices during recess.

Traffic Flow and Safety Improvements

Driveway

A major focus this summer was improving campus access and circulation. The existing driveway was resurfaced and new parking lines were painted to support smoother traffic flow and safer navigation during drop-off and pick-up. These updates help families move through campus more efficiently and create a more organized start and end to each school day.

Classroom Refreshes

Several classrooms received updates to create brighter, more functional learning environments. Fresh paint, reorganized layouts, and small furniture improvements help prepare these spaces for a strong start to the school year. The music room was also moved into the Learning Cottage to provide additional storage and practice space, giving students and faculty a more flexible, better-equipped environment for instruction.

Faculty and Staff Workspaces

Teacher Lounge

Supporting the daily work of teachers and staff was another priority this summer.

  • Teacher lounge — The Crossbow building now includes an updated lounge and work area for faculty.

  • Maintenance workspace — The maintenance team’s workspace was expanded to improve workflow and support ongoing campus projects.

These improvements help ensure that the people who care for our students and campus have the spaces they need to work comfortably and efficiently.

Facilities and Grounds Care

Across campus, general repairs, cleaning, and maintenance were performed to refresh high-traffic areas and outdoor gathering spaces. Grounds care included new plants, path clean-up and small beautification projects that help keep the campus looking sharp and welcoming.

Looking Ahead

Each summer project, whether large or small, contributes to a campus that reflects care, pride, and readiness for the year ahead. As Sage Ridge continues to grow, these improvements help ensure our facilities match the strength of our academic and community programs.
