Sage Ridge Again Named to AP® School Honor Roll with Platinum Distinction
- Academics
- Scholarship
For the third consecutive year, Sage Ridge School has earned Platinum Recognition on the College Board’s AP® School Honor Roll for 2025.
The AP School Honor Roll is the the highest level of distinction awarded for Advanced Placement programs nationwide. The recognition honors Sage Ridge School's outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success. AP coursework provides early exposure to rigorous academic thinking and contributes to increased confidence navigating college-level expectations.
To earn Platinum Recognition, Sage Ridge met all three of the College Board’s most demanding benchmarks for the Class of 2026:
- AP Access: At least 80% experienced one or more AP courses before graduation
- College Credit: At least 50% earned college credit by scoring a 3 or higher on an AP Exam
- College Readiness: At least 15% took a total of five AP courses across high school, with at least one AP taken in 9th or 10th grade
This level of achievement reflects a schoolwide commitment.
“We know it takes a significant schoolwide effort—dedication from teachers, counselors, administrators, students, and parents—to make AP access a priority,” said Trevor Packer, Head of AP and Instruction at the College Board. “We join you in celebrating this inspiring achievement for your community. I’m inspired by your commitment and grateful for the chance to honor your success.”
Excellence Without Exceptions
Sage Ridge’s AP success is matched by strong outcomes. The school posts a 90% overall AP Exam pass rate (score 3 or higher), and all AP students take the AP exam. Sage Ridge does not limit exam participation to manage results; instead, it supports every student who takes on the challenge.
Sage Ridge students achieved 100% pass rates on many exams, outperforming state and global averages, such as
- English Literature & Composition: Sage Ridge 100% | Nevada 69.8% | Global 72.8%
- AP Calculus AB: Sage Ridge 100% | Nevada 56.8% | Global 64.4%
- AP Biology: Sage Ridge 100% | Nevada 66.2% | Global 70.5%
- AP U.S. History: Sage Ridge 100% | Nevada 59.3% | Global 74.3%
These results reflect a program built on high expectations, academic integrity, and sustained faculty support.
A Personalized Academic Community with Broad Opportunity
“Sage Ridge offers a personalized learning environment within a close-knit academic community, where students are known well and supported to pursue ambitious academic goals,” says Rob Lamb, Director of College Counseling.
Sage Ridge offers 17 AP courses and 11 Honors courses, giving students multiple pathways to engage in college-level work beginning as early as 9th grade. Through an open-enrollment approach, rigor is defined by readiness and support, not selectivity—reinforcing a culture where students are encouraged to stretch themselves and are guided to succeed.
“Earning Platinum Recognition for the third year in a row affirms Sage Ridge’s commitment to academic excellence and college readiness—and to preparing students to thrive well beyond graduation,” Lamb said.
