Scorpions on a Roll: A Record-Breaking Speech & Debate Season So Far!

With half the season over and four tournaments under our belts, the Sage Ridge School Speech & Debate Team is off to an amazing start! We had a record fifteen debaters make it to the final rounds, and came away with four third place finishes, four second place finishes, and three tournament championships at our early competitions.

• TOP SPEAKER! Raghav Bhalla ‘26 won Top Speaker in Senior Public Forum Debate.
• TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! Gemma Gifford ‘29 and Megan Hanson ‘29 win Novice Public Forum Debate. TOP SPEAKER! Megan also won Top Speaker at this tournament. 
• Bryce Stormo ‘26 and Saatvik Guar ‘26 won 2nd place in Senior Big Questions Debate.
• TOURNAMENT CHAMPION! Rooby Meehan ‘29 won Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate.
• Mallory Cotton ‘27 and Owen Heaphy ‘27 finished 2nd in Senior Public Forum Debate. 
• Megan Hanson ‘29 and Gemma Gifford ‘29 finished 3rd in Senior Public Forum Debate. 
• TOURNAMENT CHAMPION! Milin Sekhon ‘28 won Senior Big Questions Debate. 
• Tasha Schulyer ‘29 finished 3rd in Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate.
