Waffle Wednesdays Continue 8 September!
What? Liege Waffles for $5
Where? Drive-thru service during morning carpool
When? 7:40 - 8:15 am on Wednesdays in September (supplies are limited)
Why? To support Afghani refugees (specific organization TBD)
Who? Adi V (grade 4) was inspired to start a service project after learning about the recent news out of Afghanistan. She talked with her father about the news and learned a little about the history of the conflict in this country and wrote a short article (read here). She was compelled to help the people, especially women and young girls of Afghanistan.
Adi presented her fundraising idea to the executive team of the Lower and Middle School Student Government. The grade 8 students were impressed by Adi's presentation skills and passion for helping others. The group is happy to support Adi in her endeavor to sell Liege Waffles on Wednesdays to raise money for Afghani refugees.
Adi and her team will be selling homemade liege waffles during carpool each Wednesday in September, starting on the 1st of the month. Waffles will be sold curbside and in a drive-thru manner for $5 each.
