2022 Summer Session Overview
- Grades 6-8
- Grades 9-12
In Pre-Algebra students will work with decimals, fractions, mixed numbers, integers, and negative numbers. Student will learn how to solve equations and inequalities algebraically and will gain valuable skills to solve more complex word problems. Students will work with the distributive property, probability, exponents, square roots, and measurement, area, and volume.

The Pre-APCS A course bridges the gap between a middle school JavaScript course and the college prep AP Computer Science A course. To help students be prepared for the rigor of AP Computer Science A, this course consists of three primary goals:

Practice using programming languages such as Python and Java in small projects, which will allow them to gain practice with those languages’ fundamental constructs.

Experience a gentle introduction to object oriented concepts, object oriented design and programming.

Gain software engineering workflow skills using software engineering tools to design, implement, and debug software projects.
- Grades 9-12
This course will cover both the content of the standardized tests as well as the strategies for taking them. Using a combination of demonstration, student work, and group work, the class will work through all aspects of the tests. Calculator work will also be covered so that students understand when they can and cannot use one, and how to best utilize them when they are able. Students will also learn how to study for the tests so that they leave the course prepared for either SAT or ACT test.
- Grades 9-12
Students will learn about the PSAT, SAT, and ACT exams and will understand the skills being tested in the reading and writing sections of these exams. Further, students will learn strategies for finding the correct answer to reading and writing multiple choice questions. Students will also learn how to write SAT and ACT essays. Lastly, students will devise a plan for studying for these exams

Calling all current 3rd-6th grade boys and girls to a basketball skills and ball-handling camp from 8-10 June. Girls Varsity head coach Michael Cvetich will direct the camp with the assistance of members of the Sage Ridge Girls Varsity Basketball Team.
