Whether your Scorpion wants to sharpen mathematics skills or participate in award-winning programming offered by Steve & Kate's Camp (open to public for ages 5-12!), our programs offer engaging opportunities for children to make the most of summer! Set against the backdrop of our stunning Northern Nevada campus, our programs are led in a supportive and fun learning environment.

Steve & Kate's Camp - Open to the Public for Ages 5-12

We're excited to provide our Sage Ridge and the greater Northern Nevada community an incredible opportunity to enjoy a summer filled with laughter and joy. Steve & Kate’s Camp, a camp hosting 90+ locations nationwide that has put kids in charge of their own learning since 1980, is coming to our campus this summer!

Steve & Kate’s Camp allows campers to choose from a variety of activities in real time. Activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, coding & gaming, sports & recreation, maker crafts, water play, baking, and more.

And there are plenty of perks for adults too. Families can attend for a day, the entire summer, or anything in between. No weekly sessions or reservations are required. Plus Steve & Kate’s Camp will automatically refund any unused passes at the end of the summer.

Lunch, snacks, and all hours (8 a.m.–6 p.m.) are included and the camp will run from June 9 - August 8 at Sage Ridge School. Want to learn more? Click here to check out their website and register!

Sage Ridge Students Only: Math For-Credit Courses

Sage Ridge is looking to offer two for-credit summer math classes, for 7th grade and above. Each course will need at least three students enrolled to run. As a for-credit course, each class will cost $1,995.

Families interested in either course can indicate their interest by completing this form.

Algebra I

Eligibility: This course is open to students in seventh grade and above.

Prerequisite: Pre-Algebra

Eighth-grade students must obtain a recommendation from their math teacher.
Seventh-grade students must score above the 90th percentile in math and receive a math teacher recommendation.

These requirements are necessary because of the course’s rigorous pace.

Dates: June 16 – July 17 (5 weeks)

Days/Times: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Geometry

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Algebra I

Dates: June 16 – July 17 (5 weeks)

Days/Times: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Important Note: Enrolling in a course does not guarantee a passing grade. The curriculum is intense, and many students find it challenging to keep pace with five hours of math per day.
